A couple of weeks ago, Delia Designs turned 10. Ten years. It's been an incredible ride. Through the ups and downs (and there have been plenty of both), there haven't been many constants in my life except for you, the Delia Designs community. From my first days as a solopreneur, you've been there. And in the darkest hours of the past decade, when I've felt the most alone, and insecure, you've been there, too.
I get to see many of you in person and if I don't, I get to see you right here on the web. On all the social media platforms, in the comments, and through email. Your support, empathy, and unwavering belief that Delia Designs could and would do great things has been a beacon of hope and a challenge that I constantly strive to meet.
A decade is a long time. Few things in our lives or in the world last that long. Last year, I read through the Small Business Administration that 50% of Small Businesses fail within the first five years. I'm honored and humbled that you've stuck with me all this time, and I promise that in the decade ahead, Delia Designs will deliver even better Interior Design Services. I believe in creating interiors that transform lives and in delivering remarkable services. I believe that all of this can be done not just without evil, but with real generosity of spirit and action. Why?
It's About People
To my clients:
I’m so appreciative and honored to work with you all. I would like to thank you for your belief in me and my abilities to help you achieve your goals and vision of success, while always challenging me to be a better interior designer. I find myself continuously enriched by the people that I've met and worked with. Many of these people have also become friends and advisors, allowing me to grow and learn individually, and, as a company. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and great relationships.
To my team members, past and present:
To be in business for 10 years requires having incredible people in your organization. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work every day with a group of talented, passionate and caring people. Your willingness to give of yourselves and help each other is very special and is deeply admired. You are the best.
To my partners:
I would also like to thank the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Design partners I collaborate with to deliver incredible work that makes a positive, sustainable impact for our clients. We are fused as a team and I am proud to work with you. A special thank you to JKRP Architects for entrusting me with your interiors. I receive so much through our continued relationship and I look forward to growing with you.
To my students:
It's an extremely rewarding experience to teach all of you about the intricacies of Interior Design. It can be challenging at times but, in the end when I see a student excelling and appreciative of the experience, my heart becomes fuller than you can possibly imagine.
To my friends and family:
Thank you for the ten remarkable years of warmth, love, friendship, and support. I absolutely couldn't have done it without you, nor can I take the next steps without your help.
Through all of the ups and downs I’ve experienced, I wake up every single day thankful to be transforming lives through Interior Design. I plan to keep Delia Designs growing with you and continue to provide you with nothing less than the best Interior Design Services in Philadelphia and even Nationwide! In fact, I am launching updated branding so keep an eye out for our new logo. And, save the date for our Ten Year Anniversary Party on September 14, 2019.
With your support, I wish to explore new heights in the next 10 years! Thank you for an incredible 10 years and here’s to celebrating the next successful chapter together.
With deep appreciation,
Tina
