Up on the blog this week it's all about the moms in our lives. It doesn’t matter if she’s your mom, your grandma, your sister or your girlfriend. Whether she birthed you, raised you, or is simply the one who you to to for all of your issues, you likely have at least one person in your life worth celebrating on Mother’s Day. Below, I've gathered some of our favorite Mother’s Day gifts, including delights to eat, items to help Mom unwind, and trinkets to express your endless love. I'll be back next week with my interior design tips.
A Night Off
Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on the planet, yet despite that fact, there’s no PTO! Right this wrong by giving the mom in your life the gift of a night to herself. Consider booking her a night at a wonderful nearby hotel or Airbnb, together with a gift card to a local restaurant, where someone else can handle the cooking and the cleaning—and there will be no chance of interruption from beloved offspring. Not sure where to send Mom? Renault Winery's Spring Bloom Château Renault hotel package includes:
an overnight stay, 2 wine flights, a bottle of Renault wine and a $50 food and beverage credit.
Coffee Club
Each monthly delivery hails from a different country, many of which are less-customary coffee destinations such as Peru, India, and Nicaragua. Atlas works directly with local farmers so they can get creative with the bean production; one recent project lauded by Wirecutter editor Ben Keough used anaerobic fermentation to extract more-unusual flavors from an uncommon Indian coffee. You have the choice of sending the 12-ounce delivery monthly or bimonthly, and each also arrives with a postcard featuring trivia about that country’s coffee industry. And Mom can choose her preferred roast and grind specifications.
Citrus Juicer
Buying Mom a kitchen appliance may not seem to be at the top of your mind but she is sure to love this adorable juicer. My mother likes to fresh squeeze oranges for brunch and she's still using a juicer that is maybe 30 years old. It still does a great job but it's bound to go at any moment. So, I saw this and had to put it on my list this year.
A Clean Mouth
A couple more gifts inspired by my mother who is now a dental hygienist. This nano silver mouthwash is said to target bacteria that emit sulfur gas and cause bad breath. Xylitol improves salivary flow and relieves dry mouth symptoms. Both good things.
Make Mom Smile
The iO is the best looking and performing Oral-B toothbrush I have ever used. And as you would expect, it cleans the teeth really well. Who wouldn't want that?
A Greener Clean
If you follow me regularly, you probably know that I am now obsessed with Blueland cleaning products. They are eco-friendly and non-toxic. Get Mom started with eco-friendly cleaning using the four best-selling products. Safe and proven to work for a clean and sustainable home.

Moisturized Skin
Body oil is all the rage these days. Sacred Body Oil is a lightweight, non-greasy body oil that hydrates, calms, and nourishes even the driest skin with a blend of marula, baobab, and jojoba oils. The best part is that it is formulated without all of the toxic chemicals.
Wine Mixer
For moms who love wine and new experiences, this wine flight will have let her sample and savor eight different varietals from California wineries. Each of the tiny bottles is one glass, the perfect size for her to enjoy after a long day of work, or during a leisurely weekend.
Pasta, Pasta, Pasta
For the mom who lives on pasta. Sfoglini’s 100% organic Brooklyn-made small-batch pastas gives grocery store boxes a run for their money—with unique flavors made from locally-sourced ingredients. If you’re like me, the week isn’t complete without at least one or two hearty pasta meals, so Sfoglini’s pasta subscription keeps my pantry stocked and my cooking interesting. Each month for 3 months or 6 months, you’ll get one box of their signature pasta and one box of a seasonal variety.
The Adventure Snacker
You can send your mom fun Japanese candy and snacks every month with Tokyo Treat Box. The boxes are filled with candy you aren't likely to find in the US. Each monthly box has its own theme, so you'll always be in for a real treat! Get a 12-month subscription from TokyoTreat for $33/ month (available in multiple subscriptions).
