H e l l o!
Up on the blog this week, I'm addressing the Senior Living Dining Room. Dining spaces are the heart of the community and often make the biggest impact on prospective residents. Here are three ways you can create dining rooms that are ideal for your residents and staff while making a lasting impression through interior design.
Flexible Furniture
Find ways to incorporate personalized elements and flexible furniture that revolves around your residents' and community's needs. Particularly in mixed-use spaces, look at your table arrangement and see how you can minimize how much you need to move furniture and people to accommodate various activities. Consider a variety of table sizes to facilitate various group interactions; one on one, small groups and large groups.

Comfortable Seating
Select dining chairs with full length supportive arms to help residents settle in for mealtimes and provide a graspable surface to help with egress. In-line wheels and casters can help residents easily pull up to the table when it's time to dig in.

Easy Cleaning
Help the staff keep dining areas looking top notch with furniture that's easy to clean. Use vinyl on chair seats and a performance fabric on backs for a functional and stylish look that's easy to wipe down. An opening between the chair seat and back helps prevent crumbs from collecting in hart to clean places.

Make an impression with the fabrics you select, which set the mood for any space. Also, create an engaging, multiuse destination for residents to enjoy all day. Versatile rooms, like a bistro that's used for meals during the day and as a lounge or bar at night, make the most of revenue generating square footage.
Whether you are looking for a small refresh, community transformation or new construction project, we can help you design incredible Senior living spaces that your residents are proud to call home.
