Summer is in full bloom here at Delia Designs. While the past few months have brought about a flurry of change to the makings of our daily lives: work and home life have now become one, and that’s given us quite a bit of time to reflect on the spaces we inhabit. More than a place to sleep or lounge, the bedroom is the place most representative of our truest selves, the space we return to when looking for a reprieve from the outside world, the area we trust to deliver on relaxation and all things home. And so, Delia Designs Home was born.
It's been years in the making to be honest with you. It took a little slow down from the hustle of interior design due to a global pandemic to open up the dedicated time to focus on it and bring the vision to life!
Today we are launching a limited release collection inspired by the carefree days of summers at the beach. Inspired by floral bikinis frolicking through the sand, young surf culture and the laid back ambiance of the tropics, I'm proud to introduce the Endless Summer Collection by Delia Designs Home.
My Why.
Bedding is a commodity product, at its core–you need these items to sleep at night. The product assortment can sometimes be frustrating, and people don’t really know how things are made or what to look for in terms of quality. That in itself made me realize how much I wanted to start my own line. I created Delia Designs Home to empower others to create a personalized resting space to escape the day. The bedroom is arguably the most sacred space in your home. It is also the most intimate of spaces, where you start and end your days. There are a few key pieces needed to bring this room to life – no matter how big or small the square footage. After a long day, there is nothing more relaxing than getting into a bed with nice, crisp bedding on it. Not to mention a beautiful duvet cover. Duvet covers are the ultimate bedding essential.
Style Secrets.
The duvet cover is a chance for you to elevate the style of your space, to add visual interest to the bedroom. Cover your bed in style - Your style. Dress it up or down. There are endless possibilities. Layer it with pillows or throws. A beautifully made bed can make the whole room look amazing! Interior Designers know this and use bed linens to their maximum potential! A fabulously made bed can make the whole room appear updated and chic and beautiful, even if the rest of it is very ordinary!
- For a lush look, insert 2 duvets into 1 duvet cover.
- Create a relaxed but not messy look by showing off layers. Layer a quilt or matelassé coverlet with a duvet folded halfway over it.
- Prop up Euro pillows behind standard pillows and match them to the duvet.
- Choose contrasting pillow shams or match them to your sheets. Add a luxe accent pillow or two, and a throw at the foot of the bed.
- Try: a Lush Velvet or Washed Silk quilt.
I am so happy to be offering this new line. We are starting out with duvet covers, shower curtains and pillows. From first apartments to full bedroom refreshes, we've got plenty of ideas to wake up your space. Modern designs for every snoozy space!
