Ringing in the New Year with Old and New Friends
I always celebrate the coming of the new year in a special way. (Except for the one year I was grounded when I was 18!) It may not be a big way but I definitely like to spend the time to bring in the new year in a meaningful way.
Miami for the Independent Lodging Conference
It was a warm weekend away from Philadelphia as we dove into Miami's unique hospitality scene. It all took place in the creative, mural covered neighborhood of Wynwood. After a stimulating day of engaging panels and INDIEtalks, we enjoyed an art walk in Wynwood and an evening of Hors d'oeuvres and cocktails with fellow visionaries in the hospitality space. It was a refreshing day to be immersed in Interior Design.
Weekend Getaway in Paris
Paris is a city that many people dream about visiting, and with good reason: it’s beautiful, fascinating and filled with the most amazing architecture and interiors (or at least that’s one of my top reasons!) “Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Successful projects with JKRP
I've been consulting with JKRP architects here in Philadelphia for the past five years. This past year, we created solutions for places that reflect who organizations are and what they aspire to be. We used space, color, materials and light as tools to create healthy, uplifting environments. These spaces enhanced people’s lives in the places they gathered: offices, dwellings, hotels, and more. We created multidimensional, experiential environments shaped by the people who use them.
"Even the Lone Ranger didn't do it alone." Harvey MacKay . Treat your business relationships like friendships. Formality puts up walls, and walls don't foster good business relationships. No one is loyal to a wall... except the one in China.
Top 3 Interior Designers in Philadelphia
“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.”
— Henry David Thoreau .
When I found out that I won Top Three Interior Designers in Philadelphia, I was so grateful. I want you to know that I NEVER take your support for granted. Through all of the ups and downs I’ve experienced, I wake up every single day thankful to be transforming lives through Interior Design.

Making new connections
Networking is all about connecting with people. But then again, isn't that what life is about? The more time you can find to get out of the office and build true friendships, the farther your business will go. We entrepreneurs need to remember to spend as much time working on our business as we do in our business!
"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." --Helen Keller
Teamwork really does make the dream work!
Italy with Garden State Tile
“Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind.” Seneca . In June I was invited by Garden State tile to take a trip with other interior designers in Philadelphia to Italy. It was an honor to be invited to visit their clients' manufacturing plants to see where all of the magic happens. Thank you to Garden State Tile for refreshing my soul with a trip to Italy together!
Time with Friends and Family
Few things have such a huge impact on happiness and the enjoyment, depth and plain fun of life as the friendships I have.
“A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.” Unknown
Thank you to all of my friends for their love and support.
Business Talk Radio
It was an honor to be featured on Business Talk Radio. A highlight of the year for sure.

Lighting Techniques
It's an extremely rewarding experience to teach all of my students about the intricacies of Interior Design. It can be challenging at times but, in the end when I see a student excelling and appreciative of the experience, my heart becomes fuller than you can possibly imagine. I am blessed to have had very talented students this past year.
